Origin & History

Sant Kartar Singh Kamaliawale (S.K.S.K.) Educational Institute was started in 1986 under the name of Ajit Public School. Later on, the name of the school was changed to pay tribute to Sant Kartar Singh Ji Kamaliawale.

Kamalia is a town in Pakistan. Sant ji was the son of Shriman Sant Sangat Singh Ji Maharaj who spread the message of love with God to many people during his lifetime. He also founded a school for girls in Kamalia. Following his father’s footsteps, Sant ji who had shifted to Patiala after partition, contributed to the society and to the Sikh Panth by encouraging women’s education. He wanted the girls to be self-supporting and excel in life.

When Smt. Ajit Kaur Ji met Sant Ji, she was highly impressed by his ideologies. With his blessings and encouragement, she started this school. Her dream was to impart education to students in a stress-free environment. She wanted her students to be all-around best and become honest, hardworking and good citizens of India. For this, she encouraged the teachers and students to take part in different co-curricular activities.

Even after she left for heavenly abode, her husband S. Brinder Mohan Singh Ji is trying his best to keep her dream alive.
